Madrid student accommodation.....how hard?

The daughter is off to Madrid today, 3 of us going two coming back(grit in my eye)

Booking a place to live has and still is a nightmare, advised don't just book as it may not exist but everything is online only.....

Then on top of the rent it's agency €480 and landlord fees of €1000
We even have a local on the ground ringing places for us but you can't always have a number until you book the place.

We have a air BnB for the first 9 days but as she's doing a diploma in patisserie she needs a oven,most places don't have one, narrows the search right down,then it's getting to with an hour by public transport

The uni wants €1160 just for a dorm' room shared cooking
facilities etc

Thought it would be easier than this, stress levels to 11
