Porsche Thanks – Tunnel Run

I know there is an existing thread but this is a TVRs are cool post...
OK, it felt like a very mini Le Mans run.
GF was out having dinner with friends in Putney..strangely I offered to collect her on a Saturday night. She was slightly sussed as I was not out with the guys – would she mind a PH detour? Got to Chelsea Bridge to find it closed. Was heading home despondent when I heard a faint rumbling, growing louder..louder still....yes some TVR’s heading to the meet (nice canary yellow Griffith BTW).
Did I feel out of place in a Boxster? Yes
Did I regret being there with the GF – big time. “…do you mind if I put the roof down and display my PH stickered wind deflector?” Of course she minded. Oh well.
To the silver Cerbie cameraman – I was the boxster that waved you through....was feeling v. guilty as a Porsche amongst the TVRs!
Had to break early due to GF. Just as I arrived back in Limehouse the first Tivs were coming out of the Rotherhithe tunnel...wished I could have followed.
Lessons learned:
1) TVRs are, and will always be, cool.
2) 9/10 TVR owners are true petrol head enthusiasts (can not say the same of Porsche...3/10 or less given current volumes.
3) Pity about the traffic....would like to think they were resurfacing but probably shut most of London down for a mass rollout of SPECS.
4) I need a new car. Noble/GT3 here I come (although Sagaris looks the muts!)
5) WHEN IS THE NEXT RUN?

Your also 2 cylinders short of a picnic, what happened to no 3 ??

Oops, an edit issue. now corrected. wasn't sure for a second what you meant by "2 cylinders short of a picnic"

Think that was me, where you the guy that ask me if I was going to the Tunnel meet just around the corner from Chelsea Bridge, well think you said that couldnt hear much to be honest
and you pulled up behind me there 
and prehaps followed me on the Run for a bit, as I was near the guy with the Silver Cerb with mounted camera too... well for a bit. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you liked the V8 rumbles
