Is "Wedgefest" becoming "Whatfest" ?
Discussion
Hi
As many of you know myself & Adam Quantrill took over the running of this years Wedgefest, there were so many factors beyond anyones control that had a dramatic effect on the scheduled event for this year being held in June...also some very sad news, my thoughts and feelings are with those concerned.
The event has been re-scheduled to take place over the weekend of the 5th-7th September 2025, we have tried to negotiate the best deal for rooms and food but times have changed quite dramatically and it was incredibly difficult to get ANY kind of disounts or freebies, however i managed to secure some which helps, like double occupancy added for the price of breakfast, free use of the suite for the Saturday evening, normally £600...including free use of a screen & projector and the printing of place cards etc FOC, we also have some promotional offers on rooms that i was going to offer out as a prize for a pre-event Q&A , obviously first come first served basis as there are only 5 to offer, however at present we only have 10 rooms booked out of the 40 requested and 30 Saturday evening meals deposited, quite sad how the numbers have dwindelled in the last few years.
So...are there more than 10 roadworthy Wedges that could come and support the only event that celebrates this model of TVR and all the people associated with it?...sadly many of them are no longer with us now...we are all just seconds in the sands of time.
So please if you wish to help support us and associated charity and receive your FREE event mug and the chance to purchase your personalised custom event polo-shirt then please get in touch via the email bbwf25@hotmail.com and i will always look forward to seeing you again.
Thank you
Mark.

I was hoping I might get down but every time I've planned to get the car out for an MoT this year, something has happened... the latest issue being more perished fuel hoses spraying petrol everywhere. Also the diff front seal seems to be leaking.
This is all bloody annoying after the amount of refurbishment I did back in 2016 (which was only 9 years ago, seems most of the original materials used had weathered better than the new stuff I fitted).
Only 3 years till it's MOT and tax-free... but at this rate I'm not sure I'll be bothered by then. Getting a bit old for grovelling around on the floor.
So I may make it, but might be on the bike again

That is a bummer...i agree that some of the shyte being sold now is proper shyte!...I bought Delilah back and some of the main tank hoses have been on there well over 20 years, probably longer in some parts..however i am reluctant to start messing with it just yet as i had a nightmare with the injector hose for the 350i and had to change it after a year due to cracking and leaking fuel...I do plan an unleaded conversion and all hose will be replaced to accept E10...be nice to see you again...been a while

I'll definitely be there. Apart from Covid year, not missed one in 12 years.
Thanks Keith...we still had some fun during the plandemic with the virtual BBWF

Cheers

Too right! New old stock is better than intermoron crud. This is all bloody annoying after the amount of refurbishment I did back in 2016 (which was only 9 years ago, seems most of the original materials used had weathered better than the new stuff I fitted).

And my old fuel hoses are doing nicely, thank you.
If mine is finished in time I will try to make it as it stands I'm waiting for an appointment at Lloyds to setup the canems ignition and the earliest appointment is October will be interesting in getting everyones opinion on what I've done as it's been a real labour of love for the last year every job has snowballed leading to a full respray which included re-glassing the front end and interior retrim canems ignition, led lights,4.6 intake manifold and plenum bigger injectors the list goes on and on its far from original so will probably upset the purists however it was in a sorry state when I got her and on a cat n so probably destined for the breakers

Sounds good..currently the low numbers means that there might have to be a re-organising of the event...again!...the rooms that are unsold get taken back on the 25th of this month and if they do not get taken then it will be pointless hiring a suite, screen & projector etc for the Saturday evening meal, presentations and charity rafle, so might have to only be the Friday evening and Saturday morning FREE venue, need to speak with the hotel tomorrow to see what the options are...
Cheers
