Whatever the latest iteration of the Osram Nightbreaker Laser bulb is will be an improvement.

As it's for a projector lens ,led should be fine and much better than conventional bulbs.
I've got a mk4 golf with projectors and LEDs, no problem at MOT time

There are stories all over the internet about longevity but I have never had a problem, just Install properly and don`t worry about it.

I would guess that longevity or lack of it has a lot to do with most vehicles lights being set to 'auto' they will then be turning on/off nunmerous times during a drive
