Bubbling/Peeling paint

The paint is starting to bubble and lift from the plastic trim on the front of my 2008 E93.
Obviously it’s not corrosion, but is this to be expected?
Should I get it professionally resprayed, or just DIY?

Yep to be expected. Aside from all the air pressure and stones the front plastics have to deal with, a lot of front ends get repainted at some point in it's life unless you've owned it from new and know otherwise. Repaints are rarely as good as the factory paint, so it peels off due to poor prep.
