What is known of the ownership history in Japan? And are there all the service records from that period in Japan? Also, do you have a copy of the Japanese auction document? Would you thus have the auction rating of the car when it was sold to be exported out of Japan? Thank you

I understand that this was imported by the Japanese wife of the owner of sporting cars of Brighton. I have no idea of it s previous history, I have owned this for 28 years I believe it was one of the first MX5 to be imported into the U.K.

Hi, I have a few questions about the car. The listing states the timing belt was replaced last year. One of the invoices shows this having been done in 2022, was it done again in 2024 and if so why?

The listing also says the alarm/immobiliser fob battery may be flat, I take it this isn’t preventing the car from running now?

The rear shocks look to be adjustable so are presumably non standard. Do you know what they are and how long they’ve been on the car?

The alarm has not been used as the car has been in a locked alarmed carpeted and dehumidified garage
The immobiliser is working and I have 2 keys for it
The car is being driven no problems with alarm or immobiliser
The timing belt was last done in 2022 my error for saying it was done recently, I called my mechanic and I looked at the date on the bill, I had surgery so was unable to drive it I didn’t realise it was 2022
