Facebook a racist safe haven.

Ok, so I’m no far left leaning “woke” liberal, vote conservative and I’d class my self as centre right. But what the f@ck is going on with outright racism on facebook? Hadn’t had it in years and only joined just before Christmas to find a project car.
This is one example I have seen today but I see comments like this on a daily basis. The majority as well.
The headline was “ Blackburn golf club to hold Muslim golf tournament”
Hundreds of angry faces followed by hundreds of comments mentioning bacon, alcohol, caddy goats and many other racial remarks you can think of.
Is it literally full of bots or has facebook really become the safe haven for absolute single digit IQ mouth breathers.
Bear in mind this is only one example and I see multiple daily. Are we really this dumb and narrow minded as a nation?

Like I said I came off of social media a long time ago. Never had tick tock, instagram, or twitter. Was only used to find a project car and a few car related groups. I don’t even have any friends on there. Absolute filth. seabod91 said:

There really is some grade A scum on there these days.
Zuckerberg is entirely relaxed about hosting the scum of the earth, he seems to think it's good business dissuading them from migrating to other cesspools like Twitter. On rare occasions the police near where I live catch a criminal. They post this on facebook and don't mention the criminal's nationality (in most cases I'd assume them to be British citizens). If the criminal looks non-white or has a foreign sounding name there seem now to be lots of comments along the lines of "deport all of them". A year or so ago the comments were more on the lines of "lock him up and throw away the key".
Like everything these days you only really read the extreme views. Facebook is full of woke lefty weirdos and far right racists, because they are the people who post. Most normal people are somewhere in the middle, they just get on with their day and couldn't give a s

t about a random golf tournament. I’ve posted before on here about how many people I know are now fairly open in their views. I think it’s a combination of ‘-ist’ terms being thrown around so much that they’ve lost their meaning and a country/continent that’s totally lost its grip on immigration causing massive resentment. I would be fairly confident in saying 90% of people that I know have significant concern about immigration in Europe and probably 50% of those are pretty open in their (often controversial) views. These are well educated Europeans and Brits I’m referring to, albeit with a heavy weighting towards Europeans.
It should therefore come as no surprise about Facebook because I think a massive chunk of the population is, by definition, racist. I follow the local police force and even on there you get a lot of comments saying ‘usual suspects’ etc…. Seems brave posting that on the page of the very people whose job it is to prosecute fruity social media posts!
In fairness there does seem to be a very obvious imbalance when it comes to crime - I think that’s what gets people going on Facebook.
