ABS/ Traction control lights S80
Discussion
Whilst on a hard drive to southern Germany in the S80 we stopped for a "comfort" break and lights started coming up!
One was ABS, another was traction control temporarily unavailable.
The brakes worked OK, so in true British fashion carried on as only had another 3 hours to destination.
The cruise control decided not to work as well.
Any way booked it into my cuz's garage to be looked at (local Volvo garage said they couldn't for 3 weeks WTF!)
Switched on the following day to go to garage, all warnings gone! Everything working fine.
A week later after 8 hours of autobahn driving and French M/W the lights came up again, then 20 minutes later all OK.
On return to Uk when switching off car warning comes up saying "Book maintenance"
So I did. I thought the car was just throwing codes/messages as it was grumpy about being driven hard for 11/12 hours.... not that I blame it, but it turns out front ABS sensor faulty, which caused other warnings to appear.
Sorted now, but not cheap!!
