So I have had my DB11for sale on PH for about 3 hours. Already had two enquires wanting more details and to view tomorrow. when Asked for a contact number so I can talk them they both sent exactly the same message;-

"I currently have a heavy workload and may not be able to answer calls at the moment. However, I will get in touch with you by phone when I head to our meeting. Also, kindly let me know your location and if Tomorrow would be a convenient day for you"

Neither mentioned the car specifically just the 'item'

Both have been told to f*ck off..

Very wise. Heavy workload on a Sunday morning but free on Mondays... are they both vicars?

I'd say that you replied appropriately.

I've seen numerous scams similar to this over the years on US car sites. Scammers are typically phishing for personal information for ID theft.

Worth knowing that it happens on PH, I had this on FB when I sold my F-Pace 3 weeks ago. In the end I ended up using carwow / motorway, was less hassle, better price than WBAC and didn’t have to deal with these scammers asking for the USA equivalent of an HPI (Carfax), it’s a sure sign they are scammers)

I sold 3 of my cars last year, first time in many years, took me a few days to understand what was going on at first, but I soon cottoned on to the scammers, chancers etc. It does become easier as the process progresses as does it become equally easy to spot genuine potential buyers..good luck
