Carpet recolouring etc

The deck of my 52 year old Volvo is generally in good state, nice colour blue etc but there's an area that is worn and the hessian(?) backing is starting to show. Any recommendations for a carpet dye, the same shade or slightly darker that will recolour the carpet and camouflage the worn area?

The photo makes it look worse than it really is, the blue is darker and the noticeable area about 1/3 of what the photo makes it appear.

There are a few around but I have not tried them, getting a colour match is an issue though.
Maybe you could get a boot liner made?
