My daughter loves her music and I’m trying my best to support her chosen journey.

She’s approaching her 16th next month and recently battled through her GCSE’s and I want to get her a new guitar in way of a well done gift.

She wants a Fender Telecaster. I have a budget of £700-£1000.

I’ve no idea what I’m looking at really so hoping someone that knows can point me to a number of the best choices in that price range.

Thanks in advance

Plenty of choice at that price. Does it have to be a Fender lots of good makes G&L, Shecter, Fret king,Manson etc to name a few .what's her favourite guitarist / favourite colour , that might help to narrow it down . As its her first simplicity might be good but I have a Fender fmt telecaster that's great available in 2 colourways and is very versatile as its got 2 humbuckers seymour duncans with a coil split on each so tonally it's diverse . https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/18083133198...

I just bought a new Fender Tele from Guitar Guitar for £900.
It’s a limited edition made in Japan model.
Love it !

Nice! I gather Japanese made Fenders are supposed to be excellent, right?

I never really get where Fender Japan models slot into the hierarchy. Is it a case of USA > Japan > Mexico > Far East?

Or are the Japanese models supposed to be even better than the USA ones?
