From here a coupe of years ago I discover the DIY Kitchens business , and ended up spending a fair bit with them for a kitchen , that I fitted myself .

Its new Bathroom time now .

Is there a similar site ? Choose the look , use the design software , see rendered pics, takes care of the measurements and place the order .

Thanks

Guess one or more of the big highstreet type retail names might offer that as part of a design & build service, but no one selling bits does that I've seen.

Not the same scope for a furniture type supplier like DIY Kitchens in the bathroom market, bathrooms are much more a collection of bits from different suppliers.

Bathroom furniture (such as it is) also seems to have ridiculous pricing, and the 'bits' have pricing that's all over the place; always seems to work out better going for multiple suppliers vs a single source.

PS. Some of the big retailers have utterly terrible reputations, you might get lucky, or maybe not.

My go to was Fountain Direct but I think they've closed now.

I'd also be very interested if anyone has recommendations!

Previously I used B&Q for 2 bathrooms and they have an online design tool https://www.diy.com/services/design_tool so maybe similar to DIY Kitchens.

I am doing a bathroom right now (and for last 6 months).

Unlike kitchens a lot of the work on bathrooms is more to do with the fabric of the room and not "simply" slotting boxes together (over simplification).

I took my bathroom back to stud wall and then strengthened behind where furniture needs to be attached to the wall. How often do toilet roll holders fall off let alone wall hanging basins? The room was then lined with waterproof tile backer board and shower panel boards.

Due to specific sizing I have had to search high and low for shower trays and screens.

A firm called Rubberduck Bathrooms seem to supply everything but I only used them for Abacus Tile Backer board and Abacus Shower Panels and impressively delivery was 48 hours.

The basin was IKEA and surprisingly IKEA don't sell toilets but we like the Helena from B&Q so I have now purchased 4 and they will all be fitted to replace what is here eventually. When we moved in the installed toilets were very uncomfortable.

The shower mixer and shower are Ideal Standard and purchased in combination with Screwfix, Toolstation and Amazon.

The shower tray and screen came from separate suppliers.

Floor titles from Wickes.

I'm doing a DIY Kitchen next.
