Alpine front wing badge placement

My car came without the Alpine logo badges on the front wings, I've now decided I would like to add them so I've ordered a set.

I figure I need two measurements to make sure I put them in the right place

1. measurement from the bottom of the filler cap to the bottom of the horizontal line on the A
^
2. Measurement from the side of the cap to the start of the horizontal > A

I can then take appropriate measurements to copy on the non fuel cap side

Would someone be kind enough to measure their car as above and give me the numbers?

Put one in the middle of the fuel filler cap, the curve in the badge will help locate it for you. Then replicate the position on the other side.

Thanks Colin, that works for height but it looks a but trickier to get it looking centred from left to right due to the badge not being symmetrical?

I have them on my car and I think they look good but, for some reason lost in the mists of time, I counted all of the alpine badging on the car…I got to about 15 as I recall.
4 on wheels
2 on headlamps
2 on wings
One on nose
One on boot
Two on seats
One on plaque
Two on dash

I used to think Mercedes and BMW over-badged their cars but Alpine might take the title.

I would not like to have 15 BYD-logos on my car, but with Alpine-logos I feel never over-badged

I've given myself a headache! I assumed that because the wing badges face opposite ways on each side, they were identical - I mean who in their right mind would engineer two different shaped badges but have them facing different ways right? Erhh, Alpine would!

In my ignorance I ordered two badges designed for the left side of the car and proceeded to fit them taking great care to position them perfectly. I didn't realise until the right side badge was very firmly attached that the profile is slightly different and one bottom part of the badge sits about a millimetre away from the wing! I didn't notice at first as you can press it and it will stick for a few seconds before detaching itself.

So, I now have two options and I'm not overly keen on either of them to be honest. I can attempt to carefully clamp and and glue part of the badge that's come away and hope it stays stuck, or I can remove the badge and associated sticky residue - whilst trying not to damage the paint - and fit the correct one - I'm more likely to go with the latter option I think.

Moral of the story: Never assume!

Yep, indeed the wing badges differ, I was also surprised when ordering them.

Use some dental floss to remove the old badge and roll any sticky residue off with your thumb, then use the proper badge.

Tempting as it would be good to cut my losses but I've got a few ideas myself how I might make use of it. Maybe in the engine bay somewhere, maybe a faux branded luggage piece, maybe the interior fire wall between the seats,......... or maybe as an ornament of some kind!
