My partner and I have a 0.5 acre paddock to the rear of our property with great views over a reservoir. An estate agent who visited to value the house last year said it was a "gold mine" if we could get permission to develop it. What I don't know is who to contact for a valuation/viability survey to be done. We will be moving in a couple of years so would not develop the land ourselves, just draw up plans which could be sold alongside the house and boost our proceeds.

motorhome and caravan spot? cheap and easy to do, probably regular income if you register with various caravan clubs.

Just drawing up plans won’t add much. Any valuation uplift will come from actually getting planning permission (which will require some investment). Bet bet is to speak to a planning consultant…
