For once, nothing to do with the driver...

The round gear knob on our '97 simply unscrews, but I've been unable to find a replacement leather or wood one that doesn't attach with "universal fit" :scratchchin: grub screws.

So, as I can't face another winter with a numb left palm, anybody found any screw-in replacements?

I'd prefer if there wasn't a barrier to dilute the experience..plus that would mean glove (singular). If I wear one on the right hand, the lack of clearance between steering wheel and indicator would lead to some undesirable effects.

Hiya, I have bought two of the 'grub screw' fitting gearknobs from "Richbrook" for my Cerb and my current Chim (see profile pic). It is the 'satin ball style' and if fitted properly is much better than the screw thread type. Have not had any probs with either one in a (combined) 20,000 miles!!
