Hi all,

I come to the forums again as my Z4s life has come to an end. Struggling to keep the car as a daily due to limited boot space and not being able to have the roof down with my golf clubs in the boot.

After something where I can keep my golf clubs in the boot whilst having some space for a few shopping bags as and when needed.

Requirements:
- Reliable (Z4 had 2.5 engine has been fault free for my ownership so far)
- Fastish anything under 8 seconds
- Only do between 7-8k miles a year therefore no diesels
- Big enough boot to keep golf clubs in there semi permanently with some shopping

Everything so far points to Octavia VRS looks like I can get the last MK3 2018-2019 70k miles for about £13-£14k. Unforunately no B58s in budget else that in the 4 series Grand Coupe/5 series spec would be picked up. Open to any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

My golf clubs live semi permanently in the boot of my 1 Series Coupé - along with the electric trolley - so not sure you need to go up to a 4/5 Series to make them fit. I have to take the trolley out if I want to put shopping in the boot, but most of the time that just goes in the back seat.

Unless you've got a staff bag or huge trolley bag an M235i/M240i should fit the bill perfectly I would have thought.

The Petrol Octavia vRS wagon is usually the answer to this or similar questions.

I had three. They are roomy enough, quick enough and family / golf / dog friendly enough for most people.

Highly recommended.
