My old Brera, on 161k miles, and still plodding on, now requires a Propshaft support bearing. Had a look and wondering how easy it will be to replace, looks like the UJ would need to be removed first. Has anyone had this job done?

Unfortunately, I think the propshaft has to be cut, welded and balanced. One of mine started to wear a couple of years back, but my Alfa garage managed to pack the worn bearing mount with silicon, and I got a couple of further years use out of it. I think North West Propshafts are the experts on refurbishment, and there is even a you tube video on their site.

Thank you. Probably terminal now as the car is on 160k + miles.
