Good Evening all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, so apologies in advance if not.

My business uses a service provider and a member of staff employed by the servicer (who has done some great work for us) has just gone on paternity leave.

I would like to send him a card with a voucher/ or gift of some description and wondered if anyone had any suggestions apart from the usual Amazon gift card.

I remember when my son was born it was a nice touch from my then employer to provide me with a gift card to buy things I needed.

Thanks in advance

Are you sure that gifts to a client are allowed? What was acceptable in the past may longer be seen as such.

It's a supplier not a client.

Yes gift are allowed and are of nominal value. A large financial services company had a team that you register gifts with. If I remember correctly £50 gift cards would be considered nominal.

I've got a really old one of those, paper-based. I like to play "who's still trading?" bingo with it. smile

WH Smiths is the latest to get crossed off. Or, rather, would do if I could find it.

Those shopping vouchers are a PITA IMHO.

Get him a Cook voucher.

Being a new parent is pretty full on in the early weeks and some decent food to heat up might be appreciated.

Cook voucher is a good shout.

We were in a serviced apartment when our daughter was born and they dropped off a small gift hamper. Usual stuff, chocolates, posh crisps, bottle of booze.

Having a selection of small tasty snacks to hand was quite welcome.

I think a gift aimed squarely at the parents is best.

Another for Cook if there’s one that’ll deliver to him - was very welcome in our house and they do a specific ‘new parent’ bundle

My wife got some cook vouchers, really took the pressure off when in the depths of the newborn stage.
