I take it that fat lying pillock in a DJ wasn't in it this year?

Looks good, l am tempted for next year...is it safe to say that apart from the track day, an ordinary car will probably not break down and get you first place because its not a fastest but closest to how long it should take within speed limits (hence kirkham in a hire car?)

I never met any pricks on this event, just a good bunch!
There were all types of cars entered, a 79 Mustang, a Prelude, Saab, BMW 2002 and a London taxi. Of course there were the 355s, 360s and DB7s. I Loved it...a good hard safe event! Can't wait for 2003

My wifes best friends fiance (i think I have that right) was working for a company that tagged along to video the whole event. Sadly they had to try and follow in a Eurobox!!

Currently they are trying to find a TV/Cable channel willing to buy it. I will try and find out if it will be on general release at some point soon.

Yes I did meet the guys in the Taxi......they got lost in Brussels on their way back, so they flew back to the UK for the final night party, then flew back to pick the car up the following day.........nutters

The film production company are talking to Extreme Channel for a pan Euro release....the video should make good viewing!

Me too. Did it dressed as a Nun in a Tuscan S (see photo/story at www.autotrader.co.uk/CARS/news/news-centre/news-template.jsp?dbid=13713

What a blast. Highly recommended and we're already planning next year.

The Tuscan ran well apart from losing the speedo after day 2 but not before clocking 165+ on the autobahn and topping 135mph on the pit straight at Imola. The engine did start to run a bit lumpy towards the end of event - probably down to low quality fuel but is fine now after a fettle at Hawthorns. I was just pleased it made it to the finish. Several didn't including a couple of Imprezas, Evo7 (crashed at Imola), Ferrari 360 (broken gearbox), Lambo Countach (radiator), TVR Cerbera (crank? All ok now boys?), Westfield (suspension/chassis damage at Imola), BMW 3 series with M5 engine (burnt out clutch), Mazda RX-7 (oil leak?) and a couple of others.

See http://groups.msn.com/cannonballruneurope for pictures.

Can't wait for the video..
