Reduce image file size - iPad

Hi,
I’ve spent the last 30 minutes trying to find a solution to what should be a simple task…I need to reduce the size of a photo on my iPad to under 2mb so that I can upload it to a forum. Lots of answers suggest using the export function in Photos but all I have is “export unmodified image”, which obviously isn’t going to work. I suspect Apple have removed the simple “export” function in later iOS for some reason.

There are tutorials on creating shortcuts but that seems unnecessary complex for a simple task, or am I missing something? I will be able to do it on my Mac when I get home if I can’t find a solution.

I think if you email it to yourself, you can choose to send it as a small, medium or large file attachment.
