I had a little issue with my Ping G430 Max this morning, it met it's end - but actually I was considering getting a new one anyway.

I'm a circa 12 handicapper, drive on average 250 ish and quite straight. Slower swing speed.

Ping was a 10.5 and I am getting too much height.

Before I go and try loads of different drivers, any recommendations for 9.5 degree, fairly forgiving drivers for a middle of the road player? I think this one cost me £400 so £500 is probably about the budget I'd like to stick to.

I appreciate it's a pretty personal thing but I don't to try loads of different ones and I'm told the Ping would be more beneficial if I had a quicker swing speed.

It's very personal - get a fitting booked (even if at somewhere like AF Golf, Silvermere or American Golf in store) and try a load of combinations to see what works for you in both the data, look and feel.

I used to fit golf clubs 15 years ago, it's 80% shaft, heads are generally similar - you need to see some data to match your AOA and swing speed to the shaft weight/kick/flex which you just can't do without hitting them. Somewhere like precision golf would be best, but likely overkill.
