Tyres, Again...

After Considerably shortening the life of my already well used rears at the dome the other evening (No handed donuts tend to increase the wear rate condsiderably i'm told)

I'm really really really struggling to get a set of matching tyres (all round)

I'm running;
205/55/R15Z on the front
&225/50/R16Z's on the rears at the moment...

I cant get a matching set anywhere, even Black Circles are struggling at the moemnt...

Should i go with V's on the front and W's on the rear (this may be my only solution though at the moment)

Compounded the fact that i picked up a Puncture in the Front right this morning i need to get it sorted out today !!

Bear in mind if you drop the speed rating from the manufacturers recommendation you could invalidate your insurance!!!!!
I've just had two new Toyos put on the front of my Griff - very nice (at £70 each). Gives better turn-in than the SO2's. Apparently you can get rears as well. Give Peninsula TVR a call (01395-232241)

try again with 245/45 for the rears.
(assuming the wheels are the same size as on the Griff 500s)

Just spoken to manning sthey were fine with V & W ratings at each end...

Try the Toyo's... I've got T1-S on the front of mine... correct speed rating , and seem to be pretty good.

Hughesie, if you get really stuck mate, I have a spare front wheel with an SO-3 on it with about 3mm of tread.

I have Toyo T1-R on front & rear.
Very good in the wet - as their ads say.

Cheers mate, need to decide this evening what to do with it, could just buy a couple of 205/16's i guess and be done with this hassle for any future owner !!

How about Dunlop SP9000, I`ve just got some fitted to the back of mine! They do a Z rated tyre all round!
