Amazon Firestick alternative?

Been an Amazon Firestick user for 10 years. However the amazon are slowly becoming very controlling over what you can and can't side load. So I'm looking for a android box to start using. I had looked at6a Nvidia shield TV. Hard to justify £150 +. Seen a Thomson Streaming Box 270UK Plus.. £60. Anyone used or can think of better.

If you can get the older Goggle Chromecast with Google TV otherwise the newer Goggle Streamer.

Personally, I still think the Shield is the best option. Mine is rock solid, the remote / app work as they should and you can configure it how you want. Yes, some of the very latest codecs aren’t supported but I reckon in ten years time it will still be going strong.
