Insulated garden office (2.5m x 2m) required.

Hello!

I'm looking for recommendations for a small, insulated garden room to do offfice stuff.

I'd prefer one that has electric and lighting, along with a consumer unit, pre-installed. It must be insulated.

There's so many companies to choose from that I'm getting a bit lost.

I've found a company by the name of SdPh Garden Rooms, which may fit the bill. However, PH experience shows that you lot can often come up with terrific recommendations.

The building must be clad in wood so that I can paint it appropriately and no more than 2.5m high, in order to meet planning regs.

Im based in Suffolk, if that makes a difference?

They can build one onsite and have a lot of videos/tutorials on YouTube. Best I saw when I was looking, however I ended up just converting half of my garage.

If that s the Oakwood who do videos on YouTube then some of their build techniques aren t always best practice IIRC they do a sort of hybrid cold/warm roof because it minimises the height rather than optimises the structure. This may or may not be a problem, depending on the specific use for the room.

OP, do you want a turnkey solution where a room is literally dropped in situ or assembled very quickly, or are you happy for something to be built over a few weeks? What sort of budget?

There were lots of companies offering turnkey solutions in the WfH craze a few years ago, but rather fewer now that the market was saturated.

Doing one yourself isn t that hard (especially with a kit from someone like Simply SIPs or others who offer all the bits rather than just a naked structure), but if you don t have the time or inclination then there are quite a few suppliers around. Some can get quite pricey, especially if they’re sleb endorsed.
