I lost my sunglasses right at the end of my holiday a few weeks ago. Having ordered and now received an exact like for like replacement.
The thing is, whilst my previous ones felt fine these replacements feel 'off'. Having worn them for an hour i had a sense of eye strain and a headache.
The optician had checked them again and they are like for like but they definitely dont feel right.
Anyone experienced this? Wonder if its the brand of lenses?

How long had you had the others? Could it be that the arms had loosened on the old ones? I once wore some sunglasses with fairly tight fitting arms and the pressure on the sides of my head gave me a debilitating headache. Also, sunglasses that I'm usually comfortable in can become an issue during very hot weather due to, I guess, my head expanding so they feel tighter.

You say “optician” so I presume corrective lenses.

Have them check they got the pupil distance correct. I’ve had it not quite right once and it was unpleasant. Swing double when tired was less than ideal.

Are they polarised?

Someone on here once posted that their wife was getting screaming bd headaches with her new sunglasses and it turned out that one lense had been ground 90° out.

Instead of the lenses being like =/= they were =/II if that makes sense?

Thanks for the replies on this - issue found to be the ray ban frames on the ones I lost were a 54 width and they ordered replacements in 50 width so the smaller lenses had a different curve that didnt agree with my eyes.
