Elise s2 - Fill holes in rear clam made by spoiler?
Discussion
Hi all,
I’m potentially seeing a 111s for sale soon and it seems like a good buy except for the horrendous rear wing the previous owner installed - I’d really love to remove it and am wondering if it’s possible to just repair/close the holes left by the spoiler without having to remove and repaint the whole rear clam?

Hi, to get a proper answer, you really need to take it to a reputable body shop. However, my understanding is that the holes ( I don’t know how big they are) would have to be plugged in some way from within the boot space. This is easily accessible and no need to remove the clam..
As for how much of the clam would require painting depends on finish? If its metallic, can be very difficult to match and often requires blown in to other areas.
Yellow I’m lead to believe is a nightmare to match.
Price wise you could be looking from hundreds, to a thousand at least. If you want it done right.

Without seeing the car , it is highly likely you will need to remove the clam to repair the holes. You may have to remove the clam to get access to the bolts / nuts that are holding the spoiler on to the clam anyway.
If you can get the spoiler off ( without removing the clam ) and the holes are not too large you may be able to push some rubber grommets into the holes as a cheaper alternative.
