Temporary Car Insurance - Ferrari F8 Tributo
Discussion
Anyone got any recommendations for Temporary Car Insurance? I am trying to insure a Ferrari F8 Tributo for 3 days. All the Temporary Insurance sites I have tried only seem to insure cars up to £65K.
My other option is to take out a one year policy for approximately £1300, and then cancel after the 3 days, which assuming no claim, I will receive a full refund as it is within the 14 day cooling off period. Does anyone have any experience of doing this, thanks.

You won't get the full amount back, at best you'll get 362/365ths back less any processing/cancellation charges they'll levy.

Add a temporary additional vehicle to your existing policy?
Or a temporary change of vehicle on an existing policy?I can do that online with my policy, allows me to enter a start and end date.
The only issue with that is the car on existing policy won't have cover over the same period.

Thanks for all the responses. I ve added it to my Multi-car policy with Admiral, only £438.00 until 9th January 2025 when my other insurances are due for renewal. I thought that was an excellent result!
Would have been even better result if they’d insured you to 9th Jan 2026

Well spotted, sorry for the typo and it is indeed until 9th Jan 2026. Obviously, the excitement got the better of me….
What a car it is, drove it for over 300 miles last weekend and it is fantastic. The acceleration is mind blowing, and it has razor sharp handling. Stick it in auto and it stays in 7th Gear from around 30mph, downshift manually via the paddles and the way it picks up speed is astonishing. Drove it very carefully but with a few quick bursts of acceleration when safe to do so, and looking forward to my next weekend with it.
