2020 X1 - Over Servoed Brake Pedal?
Discussion
Parents have a 2020 X1. X Drive 2.0 petrol if it makes a difference. I find the brake pedal like an on-off switch and it requires very careful management of pedal pressure to avoid the car jerking suddenly when coming on and off the brake. I am able to drive the car smoothly but it isn’t natural at all. Much harder for my parents.
Over 20 years driving and I can adapt to different cars quickly. Everything from super aggressive track cars with AP Racing kits and Pagids through to Marketplace finds that have a pedal that is virtually on the floor. Honestly this car is terrible and probably the worst. Feels like the brakes are set up to be very over servoed.
Would love to know if there are any common issues, brake booster/vacuum related or even if there are settings that can be adjusted. I have Carly.
