Can anyone recommend an independent who knows what they doing - my portuguese developed condensation a few years back, took it to pragnell to have it serviced (allegedly by the factory) and now a few years down the line and after wearing it a few times its stopped and is totally dead. Not feeling any immediate desire to return to the scene of the crime.

I had an interesting experience with IWC 2 years ago, my Aquatimer Darwin the small seconds hand just dislodged ....went via authorised dealer ....had 3 months to wait, but I got the full service as well..........3 months later comes back .....gains 2 minutes EVERY hour.......march back " we have a problem" ....all fixed and with no problems back to me inside 3 weeks. I use Watches of Switzerland, my Portugieser had a bent winder shaft and that was replaced during a normal service. My Pilot stopped working after 10 years and a full service fixed it but after a year it started losing time, it was then fixed free of charge as was within 2 years of service.
