I was gifted a 2010 9-3 TTiD a couple of years ago which has become part of a small fleet that I keep for work purposes. It's time to put a set of tyres on but when I looked to get the sizes, the fronts are 235/45/17 and the rears 225/45/17. I guess the wrong sized pair was put on at some point for some reason or another.

I've looked online but can't seem to find out what is the correct tyre size for this car. Can anyone help?

Does it not have a tyre pressure label in one of doors or fuel cap? It should tell you the size there.

both are potentially correct but an old handbook says OE fitment would have been 225/50/17.

235/45/17 shown as an option on all but the lowest powered models though according to wheel-size.com (which also seems to confirm the original fitment)

Depends what wheels you’ve got I guess - ours is an aero with the 5 double spoke style and is 225/45/17 all round

Forgot to close this off. Fitted a set of 225/45/17 - car drives a lot better now!
