Does anyone know where I can have the steering wheel on my 2018 W213 E63S refurbished to OEM standard or better? I've had this car from new and its the one part of it that has not lasted well. The stitching on the alcantara on the right hand side of the wheel at the 2 o' clock position has started to come lose. Bizarrely, I rarely touch that area of the wheel (I have a 10-to-3 grip), so it doesn't really see much wear. I've had four AMGs prior to this one and its never happened before. However, its happened twice on this car, which has otherwise been brilliant. It surely points to an MB quality control issue. It was replaced on warranty in 2021 and rather predictably, they don't want to know now. Very keen to take £3100 off me for a new one, surprise surprise.

If anyone knows a good place where I can get this done, please respond. Again, OEM standard or better is what I'm after. Otherwise, I'll have to pay Mercedes their money which I can do, but wary about this happening again a year or so down the road.

Any ideas welcome.

Never used them, but every time one of these questions pops up on FB or here they are always mentioned.

Yep, Royal are the answer, think I've had 4 done by them now... last one just 6 weeks ago for the 911 in OEM spec Alcantara and stitching.....

Guys, thank you all very much for your great suggestions - looks like Royal have it! I've sent in an enquiry and hopefully should hear from them soon.

Although some wear and tear is to be expected, it shouldn't happen on a car that cost me >£100k new. With your suggestions, hopefully I can solve this problem.

Thanks again.
