Just got a 992.2 GT3 allocation, and I'm trying to go for PTS.

My dream color was Forest Green.. so no doubt that I thought it for my first pick.
However, it seems like the newly added oakgreen neo is becoming a popular pick.... and I'm kinda worried if those two might not look that different.

My alternatives are Ipanema blue or Viola purple.

Which color would you go for?

Forest green is wonderful.. would it worth the PTS price over oak green neo?

Surely for such a large purchase you should choose the colour you like rather than what others like ?

The OG Neo is a 'legends' colour, so cheaper than PTS if thats any help..

There has already been an Ipenema 992.2 Touring delivered and re-sold. I’m sure you could find some pics of it.

I’d just go for the colour you like. It’s just too personal.

Congrats on the allocation. And yes, is it winged or Touring?

OG Neo is lovely. That would be my choice. If PTS I'd be different and go for RS Orange, Targa Florio maybe Gulf Blue or Viper Green. No point going PTS unless you get something completely different. They look amazing in Gulf Blue IMO.

Got to be one of the more outrageous greens or blues on a winged car.

Just beware that PTS slots are specific, you’ll need to have haggled for a suitable slot.

Mint Grun on a winged car I think, I like the brighter crazier colours with a wing whereas Tourings deserve something a bit classier.

I really like my Carbon Black, but if it was available at the time of order I would have gone Signal Orange. If your going to go a Green would save some money and go OGN.

Absolutely, Oak green Neo is being done to death. Forest Green or Porsche Racing Green were my choice for 992.1 T at launch, when PTS and Buckets were on the launch car. Then Porsche binned PTS and Buckets and Bose. When they were all eventually available the car had gone up twice and the build was touching 130k plus on the road costs. No sale! I had all the green samples and for me Forest took it over Porsche Racing Green, then confirmed to me when I saw Rahal one on insta. Fabulous colour, changes a lot in Sun and cloud.

I would go for Signal Gelb or Signal Orange if sticking with Porsche colors (I assume PTS, not PTS Plus)

If I was paying for the PTS Plus one, then I would need to think about it for a long time to make it truly unique (it would be quite cool to give it a name).

31,963 Euros vs 15,446 Euros for just the standard historical color one [this pricing is for a GT3 RS, I think they change it depending on model]

Honestly, the mind boggles.

Surely PTS is there because owners want a specific colour.
If you haven’t decided / don’t care just pick a standard colour.

Honestly PTS is becoming like carbon fibre pedals… the only reason people want it is because it’s expensive.

in fairness, I think 31k on a 300k car (once you specced the Weissach stuff) is not that much to have a truly unique colour (assuming you want to keep the car long term). Ferrari charges you that amount for some historical colours. More painful is the minimum 8 months additional wait period they mention in the description.

Just checked for fun on a Carrera it "only" costs 23k instead of 31k

^^^ Thats lovely. There was also a special yellow released a few years ago called saffron yellow. I've seen it and it would look really nice on a GT3. OP how much is PTS also I thought Porsche only tend to do PTS towards the end of production?
