Hi I remember from years back that this subject has been covered before! But did anyone ever find a fix? I initially used the CV8 master cylinder and reservoir in my Escort build, but had issues with the pedal going soft and the fluid turning black. I thought I had fixed it by changing the reservoir to a much larger rally version as per the brakes. However since fitting a much bigger radiator to allow for trackdays as opposed to sprints the problem has reappeared and required a bleed/fluid change at lunch time. Any body had the same problem and have you found a fix please.

I’m not sure that there is a cure for this issue.
If you’re tracking the car the clutch is obviously getting a real work out and as you know there will be a ton of clutch dust all over the place in the bell housing.
You might look at something from say “Tick Performance” and see if they have a high quantity billet alloy slave cylinder that might reduce the amount of dust getting into the fluid.
I change the clutch fluid as soon as it starts to discolour which is every couple of months, and that’s driving like Miss Daisy.
I think it’s just the nature of the beast.

My mate use to use some Castrol stuff which is good for higher temps, but expensive., I think it might be Castrol SRF

I just used a generic master cylinder on mine, might have been AP, and obviosuly the OE style slave. -4AN hose direct from slave to master.

Never had any such issues. The fluid does get dirty, that's just normal, not really a problem.

WHat is the makeup of your hydraulic line from master to slave ?
