Folding a trip to France a few weeks back I have been trying to get rid of several sap-like droplets from my GR86.

Photo below with parking ticket for scale and to get the camera to focus.

Any idea how to remove?

I've already tried quick detailer with a clay bar, insect/tar remover and a cloth soaked in boiling water.

I have found the best option to be to place a bit of loo roll over the area, soak it in autoglym tar remover for 20mins, then mild agitate with a microfibre cloth. Repeat if necessary. If on glass I use a decorators glass scraper. That and getting it off with the tar remover before it gets too hard.

Anyone with any better suggestions is welcome, we are surrounded by mature pines, which are very beautiful, but very persistent with the sap!

Thanks both.

Hair dryer, alcoholic hand sanitiser followed by pre-wax cleaner did the trick.

Unfortunately it looks like there's some permanent damage on the paintwork on the front bumper although only noticeable up close.

Worth polishing that area to see if you can renovate the paint. If not, then don't go too far, don't "blow" through the lacquer or the base coat (can't tell if its a solid colour or not, from the pic).

The pre-wax I used had some abrasives in it but it didn't seem to make any difference.
