Well as it s halfway through 2025 maybe it s time to start a 2026 thread!
Provisional dates have been published.
44 motogp races in a sport where injuries are common. A lot of the riders and teams pretty much nailed on for for zero points on the saturday.Provisional dates have been published.
Talk about your dark satanic mills.
Saturday should be a reverse grid or just for the 11th and lower riders to have some sort of reason to be there.

I always thought it a shame that the sprint race didn't determine the race grid. Talk about your dark satanic mills.

Pretty uninspiring arn't they! Long gone are the days of sportsbike riders clamouring to get their bikes painted the same.
Its because there are no big title sponsors in motorsport any more really. Whether that's tobacco, oil, or alcohol money. Means all the liveries are less coherent as they need to include loads of different smaller sponsorships.Redbull is the only exception I can think of.

Zarco's Castrol Honda?Redbull is the only exception I can think of.
Well Vr46 have removed the white and changed to black, Rossi explained on the launch that this would help the guys cleaning the bike :-)
I don't foresee anyone else winning other than Marc assuming he has fully recovered from his injury.
Hopefully Pecco gets the bike he needs and gets his mojo back, Jorge doesn't break himself again and I am really looking forward to see what Toprak can do, although the bike will be the limit of him. If he can beat his team mate, Rins and hopefully Fabio someone will snap him up and put a decent bike underneath him.

Have you seen the new rules regarding riders crashing?
"The FIM has announced that from the 2026 season riders in MotoGP and WorldSBK will not be allowed to restart their bikes from trackside after a crash.
Until now, the rules have allowed riders whose bike stopped running after a crash to try to restart it in the run-off area.
This, however, has the potential to create dangerous situations as it keeps marshals and riders in the run-off areas in the middle of a live session.
A new directive from the FIM has banned this, and says that attempts to restart a bike whose engine has stopped after the crash must take place behind the trackside barriers on the service road. Riders can still rejoin the track from there. "
