So have been trialing the 3D printing and have a modelled wheel cap for the 14" and 15" lattice wheels, i have been experimenting with chrome effects, the best so far is the Jenolite chrome spray, these only had two coats and the finishing on the caps was not amazing in the first place, i am enquiring into Vacuum metalising which is apparently very similar to chrome plating but not so expensive, i may just persevere with the chrome effect...however it is not as hardy as advertised and high gloss clear lacquer makes it dull..one of the best chrome finishes is nail varnish mirror chrome but is around £1.50 per 1ml..might just give a product called Mirror in a bottle but is £30 140ml, coverage says 8ft x 8ft so not too grim...all depends on the overall finish & effect, tried red...nah...tried black...mmm...nah....

Cheers

They don't look to bad Mark. I think you are right on the durability front though.
