This is getting a USA release in August, wider release after that. I hope it gets to cinema here. Green Berets go missing in Vietnam, a rescue squad get sent in to find them or what's left of them. Dinosaurs are there! Based on The Primitive War series of books (I'm reading the first book now)

And yes that was Ryan Kwanten and Tricia Helfer in it.

Looks like they've included every meme or memorable shot from any film ever made that involved Vietnam. Including Tropic Thunder. Can't tell enough from the trailer whether that makes it a knowing homage full of easter eggs or just lazy!

Effects look pretty reasonable for the budget, though the CGI compositing in some shots needed a bit more fettling as it looked for now like it just hadn't been done at all.

some shots look a little ropey - but I'm so up for this! Now let's see the concept of a US Marine Division taking on the Roman Empire/mongols/Ottomans/etc

I have often seen the old war films and thought how 2 belt fed machine guns in an X would destroy those lines of archers and horse riders.

I really enjoyed this one. Old school B movie - dodgy dialog, questionable acting and a story that doesn't make a lot of sense but it's entertaining and doesn't take itself too seriously. Creedence and dinosaurs, what else do you need?

Loved the books!

Anyone know if/which streaming service this will come to?
Wasn’t on at any cinemas near me.

This looks brilliant. As in daft idea, mixed with some B list actors and some great music. I don’t care about the plot, or whether it’s full of holes, I mean it obviously is as there’s no way dinosaurs could exist now. Can’t wait to find a way to watch this.

As above, check your local Odeon listings for this week.
