I know the census is to re-paint but has anyone attempted their own repair/re-lacquer ?
Was thinking of light sand with wet & dry then lacquer just to tidy them up. Been on car since 2016 and no other repairs just showing the usual "spider" around the centre caps.

Not tried it myself but give it a go.
You'll be no worse off other than the cost of a can of lacquer.
But you won't get the same finish as the original machine finish and that may make your teeth itch.

I've just had mine re done but as they where silver with the diamond cut I just had them powder coated all over.

^^^^ Wot 'e said.

You will get nothing like the OE finish and it may well look out of place depending on your OCD levels.

I have gone full-re-paint and done the "highlights" silver with the main colour darker before & they looked pretty good from a rattle can.

Had mine powder coated with 2 colours as they had already been cut twice. Best of both worlds.

That is basically exactly what I did with exactly those wheels (V40 R-design) but with a rattle can in 2-tone.

Yep I have rattle canned so many wheels over the years but they always start to show signs of wear and tear after a few months, so decided to powder coat this time. Oh and in true PH style it only cost 8 times as much as rattle canning rofl
