Congratulations!!! I'm about 3 months ahead of you!!! In fact there are a number of us on here that bought about 20 years ago.

As to whether it was a good buy - the fact that we still have the car says it all!!!

And if you're ever in doubt, just go for a "gentle" drive!!! driving

I presume you'll be having a party for the car? hehe

Cheers

I bought mine 14 years ago

I thought I'd bought a car, in fact I'd aquired an all consuming hobby, that rarely worked

But when it does... It's truely sublime

Cheers all.

No party, but I did raise a glass, and many presents throughout the year, including - ACT big bore system, new condenser and recommissioned A/C after a hawk took off from some road kill just as I was passing and smashed the number plate and punctured the old condenser. The Cerb did win the overall battle though. angel - and finally refurbed wheels.

All in all, she did pretty well this year. So far. wink

Just being nosy, did you buy it based purely on the eBay advert or did you view it in person? Quite a gamble if you didn’t view it, but luck was clearly on your side if you still have it.

20yrs 3mths 2days for me but who's counting?

Driven 75K miles and spent around £75K on Her in all that time. Looking over past receipts makes an interesting read but every penny spent is absolutely worth it wink

It's a good job you get as many "Smiles per Mile" as you do in a Cerb wink

Here's to the next 20K miles and years, if I'm still able to drive Her by then wink

So true, Mate laugh

Yup Gordon , Aug 20 will be my 20th year since bringing BlackBeauty © over with me on that fateful EuroTunnel trip. driving cloud9
So much more enjoyable, rewarding and interesting than any other car I've owned.
Even though she's been on Axle Stands for a ? of the life that she's spent with me, we've still clocked 70K together.
Thank you, Peter, for your insanity woohoo
