I have a tp link Deco mesh network, and Annke POE cctv camera spare.

Can anyone recommend how I could set up a unit to receive the WiFi, and provide a wired POE connection for my CCTV?.

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by receive the wifi, however a poe injector and ethernet cable to the camera will power it and carry the data if your switch doesn’t have poe.

Then you just need an ethernet port to plug the cable in.

Andeh, if you have several cameras, then you can also get a simple 4/5-port POE switch. That will power several cameras, and will then plug directly into one of your Deco devices. Generally you should get a cheap/good-enough switch for £20-30.

Lots of devices are now becoming POE, so it's handy to have spare POE ports.

Thanks guys!

It's more for using a spare camera on an outside shed, which doesn't have a network cable going to it...but does have power and a good wifi signal from existing mesh..

I could buy another Deco unit, and tap into it's ethernet port, but at £50 for one it's a bit steep.

I might try and cheap poe injector, but just wanted to see if there were alternatives!

The POE camera needs an ethernet cable, so you would need a Deco unit next to it, whether you use a POE injector or a POE switch. In your situations, either would work. If it's just one camera ever, then ignore my suggestion and go with the injector! Or just use a 12v power supply if that's convenient. Most cameras have provision for POE or 12v.

(You could get a wifi camera, but I generally find it's more reliable to connect them to Deco units via Ethernet, even if the Deco units use wifi to mesh amongst themselves.)
