Hi all, got these fault codes popping up on the 640 whilst I’m in Germany with it (because of course!). Only seems to happen when caning it in sports mode, are we thinking fuel rail sensor or HPFP? Might try and get it into a dealer or garage for diagnosis but though I’d ask the collective gurus here first. Ignore the cat one, it’s an O2 sensors on the fritz.

IIRC you said you fitted and registered a new battery recently - what's the voltage status when running / when engine off, car asleep etc?

Sometimes these codes can be through low voltages etc

Which code reader too?

Hi Dan,
Using the OBDLink CX. Idle voltage is 13.9 volts, when I shut her off and leave it a minute it drops to a steady 12.6v and holds. It’s the same battery specs as the one it replaced. Car seems to run absolutely fine in normal mode, and I don’t think I can get BimmerLink to read the target fuel pressures?

Have a read here and see what you think: https://www.babybmw.net/threads/fuel-trim-read-out...

Might be that it can or near as dammit... ISTA may be needed after that

Have you cleared the codes and then driven, do they come back?

I think an investment in a laptop with ISTA installed is going to be a wise investment in all honesty! Any ideas on the best place to get it, or even just the programme and I can install on my own laptop. Then I can investigate properly once back from Germany.
