EV9 owners - what s your motorway range?
Discussion
Currently looking at the EV9 (313 S model) as a replacement family bus. All good so far re kit, quality etc, but I can’t seem to find consensus on what I can expect on a motorway run.
I do a 200mile motorway (M25 and M40) round-trip twice a week with a 10min turn around at half way, and at that time I don’t want to be faffing with topping up etc. Ideal scenario is to leave home on a full charge (charged over night at home), and then plug it back in when I get home.
I’m trying to find thoughts on a worst case range scenario? I.e depth of winter, cruising at 80 leptons. Some reviews say 200-230, some say 250-280, some say minimum 280.
TIA.

This is quite a useful resource for real-world efficiency figures: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V6ucyFGKWu...
I've only had mine a month or so and made just one long round trip in it which was 125 miles each way with around 20 miles of town driving. I cruise at 77 on motorways. The car needed a 5 min charge to get me home with 10% which i use as a safety margin when travelling with passengers. It said the average consumption was 2.9m/kwh for the motorway sections so that's around 255/260 i think. The overall for the trip inc the town driving was 3.1.
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
The top-up is something I want to try and avoid, but sadly there sin't a dealer willing to let me have it for an extended test-drive, so I have to try and weigh up as much information as possible online.
Curiously, the new IONIQ 9 appears to have a much safer range, so I'll look at that also, but I'm not that convinced on it's looks versus the EV9.

Have you tried Kia UK for a long extended drive?
Exactly this. I contacted KIA UK who advertised a weekend test drive on LinkedIn of all places. About 5 weeks later a 24 plate GT Line 6 seater was delivered to my home and i used it for the weekend to check the mileages it was capable of. Absolutely brilliant service from Kia and enabled me to get one of their cars because had it not been for the test I would likely not have braved the move away from the 'safetly' of European manufacturers. Not yet. I'm having a bit of an issue with my home charger install, so it's buying me a bit of time. I'll try and get that booked in soon.I did manage to have a short test drive at the weekend up the motorway and back (luckily the dealer is next to it!), cruising at 70, letting the car do it's thing, and it yielded the following:

We left the dealer with a range showing of 285 without ac / 275 with ac.
