Help Us Track the Remaining Jensen C V8s: Registry Project
Discussion
Hi all,
I’m working on a non-commercial, enthusiast-led project to document all surviving Jensen C‑V8s around the world and I’d love the help of the PistonHeads community.
Only around 500 C‑V8s were ever built by Jensen Motors between 1962 and 1966. Many are still unaccounted for, and this registry is helping to preserve their legacy by tracking their status, history, and sightings. The project is supported by the Jensen Owners’ Club and their official C‑V8 registrar.
My grandfather was Chief Draftsman at Jensen and worked on the C‑V8 chassis, so it’s a personal mission for me too. I’ve recently acquired one of my own here in Australia and now I’m working to find the rest.
Here’s the live dashboard where you can browse known cars, their status, and historical details: Live Jensen C‑V8 Dashboard
If you currently own a C‑V8 or have owned one in the past I’d love for you to update your car’s record directly. You can do that securely here: Submit or Update Your C‑V8 Here
All submissions are manually reviewed before being added No personal contact info is shared publicly I ask that only owners or those with direct historical knowledge use this form
I’m not looking for people to guess at cars they saw once years ago — but if you are (or were) an owner, your contribution will help build a truly reliable registry for future enthusiasts, restorers, and historians.
Thanks in advance, and feel free to drop any questions here or send a PM if you’re curious about the project or want to dig into the history of a specific chassis.
Cheers,
Jon
