Less than 1.5 posts per month... you haven't been causing much of a breeze have you....

Happy birthday!

No, i agree with Sheets Tabuer, fewer years or months, but less time.

But congratulations anyway, and you've exceeded your monthly average on the 1st!

I've still got 12 months to go before I reach that hallowed status. ;(

Actually, the rule on when to use fewer vs less is, in general, when the noun has an S.

Examples : less than one month. Fewer than two monthS. I want to spend less time online. I want to visit pistonheads fewer times. I have one less car in my collection. I would like fewer cars in my collection.

I think the word you're looking for is plurals, not ending in ''S".
If its an amount its 'less', if it's a number its ''fewer'
Less sugar
Fewer sweets
Fewer children

The rule, I believe, is actually whether the subject is countable. But not in the US.

But the easiest way for people to use it, in my experience, is if the noun has an S at the end - in general. There are exceptions.

Anyway, this is a nice way to spend my birthday - as it all began - with internet pedantry.
