I don’t really follow many YouTubers apart from Chaos Causes — some guy in South Africa. Really like how good his video stuff is.
Just wondering if there’s a UK equivalent out there? Someone like the Mat Armstrong of motorcycles — proper DIY garage builds, salvage stuff, or even ride POVs.

Not too fussed about fancy production, just looking for real-world content with a bit of character. Any recommendations?

Here is an old thread on the same subject, some of the recommendations there are still going strong:

I expect there are plenty of new ones to add though.

RRC Restoration, My Restoration and Aaron Colton are good channels for rebuilds.

Depends what you're looking for; classic, custom, modern rebuilds?

For classic stuff I like this guy: Panther Owners Club. He does pretty much everything himself from wheel building, to sidecar manufacture (chassis and body) to making and painting his own fuel tank. He also does a lot of plodding about on old bikes.

Not a Matt Armstrong giggling affair - I like Matt Armstrong tbf, this is just different!

Ash Rowland - reviving dead '80s superbikes - FXR1000, ZX10, CB1000F, GPZ900R - and a couple of Ducatis.

If you are inclined towards old British stuff you may find this chap interesting..

I really like the basic no nonsense approach.

Few worth checking out:
• Superbike Surgery – he’s a mechanic and films a lot of what comes through his workshop. Some interesting stuff, proper hands-on.
• Alejo’s Bikes – only just found this one. Met the guy at Mallory Park, his R6 battery almost went up on track 😂 just starting out on YouTube but looks like he’s getting stuck into rebuilds and track stuff.
• Brothers Garage – it’s in Spanish but has English subs. They do full-on rebuild episodes, start to finish. Really decent content if you don’t mind subtitles.

Obsession Engineering is quite good. Does racebike builds, recomissioning, road trips, special events. Also follows the Rapid Honda team in the BSB paddock (Supersport and Sportbike)

Run by Dave Hewson, ex-TT racer (amongst many other things)
