Dog owners / dog poo / inconsiderate dog owners
Discussion
I just quietly get on with picking it up. It doesn't matter what the topic is - there's always an inconsiderate minority.

It does annoy me greatly. But how many of us can say with 100% confidence that we've picked 100% of the turds our dogs have dropped? Sometimes you don't spot they've done one.
I tend to give most the benefit of the doubt but there are certainly some that, quite literally, don't give a s
t.

I often walk in woods and not particularly public areas, and on occasions i have buried it under leaves or done the stick n flick under undergrowth, where there is zero chance of being disturbed by people/livestock/pets etc.
Hasten to say that this happens v occasionally and i get through a decent supply of poo bags.
Strangely my dog very rarely poos on pavements/paths etc. nothing i have taught her, she just doesn’t.

I walk in one area with my dog that has become utterly dreadful in terms of dog poo.
It's the people walking 6 dogs for money every time . I have offered them poo bags and asked them to pick it up , I have been abused told to mind my own business and most recently a female dog walker with 5 dogs ,told me she had a rape alarm she would sound , I was walking with my wife .
It's got a lot worse in the past 5 years.

Currently on holiday in North Norfolk. While walking along the promenade, we saw 3 different piles of dog s
t! I can’t quite understand what the owners are thinking of, just leaving piles of crap in front of someone else’s beach-hut! We always pick up after our dog! The last thing I do before I leave the house is check my pockets for poo-bags.
At home, we walk our dog in the local park. Again, it is quite common to find several piles of dog crap. In most cases, it is left by people who enter the park and immediately let their dog of it’s lead and allow it to run free, that is, free to crap! Alternatively, some owners walk ahead of their dog, paying exclusive attention to their phone and none to their dog, which is busily crapping near the children’s playground. When I have politely pointed out that their dog has just dropped a pile which is so big it should have bollards and lights around it, the standard response is that, “is wasn’t my dog,” or, “sorry, I can’t see it!”
There is NO excuse for not clearing up after your dog!

I just wonder if the full bags dropped by the side of a footpath or left hanging from branches can technically avoid the fouling law.

When I become Prime Minister of the Entire Known Universe I'm going to sign an executive order that decrees:
Any dog owner found to have let their dog shh*t in a public place and not picked it up and disposed of it in an approved manner* will be HUNTED DOWN and summarily EXECUTED by firing squad.
Following this, all immediate family members of the deceased will also be hunted down, rounded up and EXECUTED en-masse by firing squad.
It may sound harsh but my guess is , after maybe a few hundred executions ..... or maybe a few thousand - ( let's face it dog owners who leave sh*t around are going to be a bit slow to catch on) - the blight of dog sh*t in our communities will be greatly reduced.

- Same goes for the perpetrators of sh*t bags hanging in trees & bushes.

I think your lienency will be seen as a weakness. Any dog owner found to have let their dog shh*t in a public place and not picked it up and disposed of it in an approved manner* will be HUNTED DOWN and summarily EXECUTED by firing squad.

Should have got her to sound it, then called the police. In my village you could be liable to £1000 fine for not picking it up.It's the people walking 6 dogs for money every time . I think if the dog goes out on a rough woodland path or across country, then a flick into the brush is fine. Somewhere built up on a paved walkway though, then definitely bag and bin.
Unfortunately around my way many owners seem to bag and hang on the rough paths, and just ignore in built up areas. It's truly disgusting, it's a newish estate with one main walking path to the school.

If dogs are so intelligent, easily trained and the owners so considerate why don’t they train their dogs to s
t in their own garden before they take them out. Problem solved.
And make it criminal offence to let your dog s

Why not stop there, could train them to s

Now I think about it, I might train to paint the hall and save me the hassle.
