Not usually one for posting but this car has me a bit smitten.

Some background, I usually buy my car's privately at the lower end of the market and hope I get a good one however after a few bad experiences - mercedes CLK55 I'm looking at you- and having a 3rd car which always seems to cost more money than I want to spend - Porsche Boxster I'm looking at you - I wanted a 'do it all' car

I also own an EV - a VW I.D5 if anyone cares, which the wife will now take on, this left me the option to part exchange her Skoda which just out of its PCP and get something about more exciting.

I wasn't specifically after an Audi S6 however I was just looking on all the car advertising sites (PH included) and seeing what was available I was looking at BMW 4 series, m4's, BMW 7 series,S classes and then I noticed the Audi A6 and S6 range.

I was set on buying a manufacturer approved car and upped my budget slightly (who doesn't), then saw this S6 pop up.

I was sold on the photos - the colour combo and spec was, in my eyes, perfect.

It has;
HUD
Advanced parking pack
Comfort pack
Matrix headlights
Sunroof
Advanced technology pack
Rear electric blind

It's a 1 owner car and is honestly immaculate

Anyway few photos;

Managed 30mpg on the way home aswell.

Beautiful colour. Also very understated unlike an RS6.

I'd de-badge any S6 or V8T bits then you'd have a proper Q car. Keep them to one side for when you sell. Look forward to the updates.

That is a nice car, congratulations!

To your spec list you can also add adaptive cruise too, which is not common enough on this generation.

Love these. Keep looking at avants but they are rare which means pricey. That’s an old car to be in the approved scheme or is it just me? Nice find.

Any owners got experience of running high mile ones (100k)

I've been looking at these recently, seems a perfect solution if you want something quick but not as stiff or in the avant shape like the RS6, this is basically a slightly detuned version of the same engine iirc? Lovely machines.

That looks awesome. I traded in an A7 for one of these a few years ago....silver with black interior. Lovely car, insurance wasn't anywhere near as mental as I thought it would be and very rapid indeed. Never got close to 30 mpg though hehe

Yeah it's a real nice motor.

It does have some options which are very unusual for the age, such as adaptive cruise, wireless charging, 360 cameras and self parking.

I think it was Audi approved car due to condition and that it's a 1 owner car.

Took out the 2 year warranty to cover myself against any issues, namely air suspension and turbos which seem to be the weak points.

It really is a lovely place to waft away the miles in.

Will keep the thread updated as I rack up the miles

Oh and the acceleration, when needed is as brutal as you'd imagine from a 4.0 TT car

Absolutely lovely motor. I was strongly considering one of these before I ended up going for the 6.2 E63 instead. I sacrificed the more modern technology which would have been nice in favour of that engine.

I remember hearing that pre 2016 they had issues with a turbo oil screen that can become blocked and I think there was a recall.

I'd definitely consider an S6 next time

What a beautiful car, love the colour and nice to see a non black interior

S6 are infinitely more cool than the RS6 too, something about them being so understated I think

On the internal photo, does anyone know what the raised section behind the steering wheel instrument cluster is, almost up against the windscreen?

520bhp with a stage 1 map and few breathing mods on these, that has really piqued my interest biggrin

Always was a great car. Ample performance without being too shouty like the RS6.

Then they decided to make it diesel ????

Haven't seen one on the road since.

Yeah the raised lump is the head up display, it's probably a clearer resolution than the one on the I.D5,not bad for 9 year old tech.

No major updates except I'm still trying to login to the Audi Connect on the MMI and waiting for some tech wizard from Audi to help.

Don't see many on the road and how many left reckon there's less than 300 registered
