Simple Odometer ?

We have started doing some classic tours, the trip and milometer on my Merc` R129 is very difficult to see on the move, especially with the hood down and the sun on the dash.
I don't want to spend £00`s on a Halda Trip computer. Can anyone recommend a simple unit that's easy to fit and clips on the dash, so I can see easily the trip and total miles..

My wife has an iPhone, I don t do phones as I m almost deaf, we tried the KCC app but it does not work for some reason.
What I would like is a simple gadget with bright numbers. If there is one?

We do the same type of event and use an app on Android called GPSTrip v3, there may be a version for your wife's phone. It's very easy to use and to see and best of all, it's free.
