Over £100 for which pieces? If those two have perished, I'd assume all the other fuel hoses are in a similar state. £100 to replace a car's worth of fuel hoses is a bargain. £100 for two short lengths of straight hose is a rip-off.

Just the two bits in the picture, I think I can use a branded hose and cut to length

It is just fuel hose.

I have probably got 5 metres of it in the garage (depending on diameter) I think it cost me about £10 for 10m.

However do yourself a favour & ditch the jubilee clip, get proper fuel hose clips.

Some butcher has been at it with those worm drive clips. As above, get proper clips on it suitable for small diameter hose, and don't tighten the st out of them like the previous idiot has.

But yes, just any suitable fuel hose of the correct diameter will be fine to replace that with

You need hose which is rated for fuel injection pressures and is suitable for fuels containing ethanol. They're widely available (this is the standard spec for vehicle petrol hoses) but you can't just pick any old hose and assume it will work just because it looks similar. It doesn't need to have a braided covering and most fuel hose won't. (The braiding is a disadvantage because it stops you seeing when the hose is perished.) The most important thing is that the inside diameter must match the original hose. If you're reusing any spring clamps then the outside diameter must also match.

Thanks, I'll get some normal stuff.
It appears it's over £200 to replace it all from vw
