Painting entrance tiles

Has anyone painted their entrance door external tiles? There is a mat down that covers a part of it so hopefully the rest wouldn't get too much traffic. Image below


If so, how did it go and what paint did you use?

Ive used tile paint on internal bathroom tiles to good effect, but I'd be wary about external, high traffic places like this - the mat will grind the paint off quite quickly I would have thought. Its a weekend DIY replacement job that.

From a quick Google there is low slip paint specifically for quarry tile steps.

Personally I would leave them as they are, they look ok. I would rather retile the area than paint, its only a small job

Re-tile. Will look terrible otherwise.
